Hello! I'm trying to figure out how to stop TEAMS from ringing on my mobile but still ring on my desktop AudioCodes phone and teams client on my PC. Currently I have TEAMS set up on my mobile, desktop pc and desktop AudioCodes phone. If I ring my TEAMS assigned number, all 3 of these will ring at the same time. What I'm trying to figure out is if there is an option to stop my mobile teams from ringing whilst the other devices continue to ring? This is a request from some users in my organisation, specifically for when people are in meetings and don't want the phone to ring. I understand can just do a forward to voicemail but this not the specific request i have received. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thankyou!Solved24KViews0likes5CommentsRemoving signed in devices from Teams console
Hi, Hope everyone is well. I am struggling to sign in the yealink A20 VC bar to the teams account. (Pro account allocated to the room) The system was working and healthy, I had an issue with the WPP30 so I decided to update the sofware, however doing the update did not work and the entire system stopped working, signin loop. So I factory reset the VC bar and touch panel, unfortunately I did not sign out of the account. After the factory reset, I tried to sign in but was signed out with a notice "device administrator is disabled". I searched everywhere on the console to enable device administrator but ran out time and patience. So we removed the devices, deleted the account and created a new account. Tried to sign in the devices again, but was signed out with a notice "Device already signed into another account" I looked into the teams console and saw that the devices are still showing on the console, I selected the devices and removed it from the list, refreshed the page but they still show up but the option to remove is not available. Has anyone else experience the same issue? Am I missing something? Help needed Thanks22KViews0likes1CommentMouse pointer lag or delay or shaky
Hi, there is an issue when joining a Teams meetings leading to a significant lag or delay of mouse pointer speed. This happens across devices (notebooks, workstations); this is affecting a novel Logitech device connected via BT and Teams joining via web-interface, but also for Teams App. IMO this is a fundamental issue (either PHY or MS level), why a software (Teams) is suddenly "interfering" with the mouse pointer (speed). Internet bandwidth is fine at > 50 mbit. Once I logout of the meeting, the pointer is "released". Additionally, the lag is immediately "released", once another users starts sharing (taking over). Note that the lag is there before sharing anything from main-user side. Does anyone experience this "phenomena"? Are there any reports, which are known to the MS Teams dev team. Are there any ideas or concrete solutions to this issue? I consider "go to settings" not the answer, this seems to be some be internal or "layers below the surface". We have suddenly started to have users reporting that they are suffering audio issues and random muting over the last few days. I believe the majority of the users are using wired Jabra headsets with new Teams. Is anyone else getting reports of this, and does anyone have any ideas about either the cause or the remedy, other than the usuals (update drivers, clear Teams cache, etc.)?9.8KViews0likes9CommentsAre Users with a Teams Premium License no longer able to sign into a Teams Device (Logitech Rally)?
Hi. I have a user that suddenly can't sign into their Logitech Rally Bar. It's not really a shared device so we gave him a Teams Premium license a a couple months ago and he's been fine. As of a couple days ago, he can't sign into the device. Authentication works, but once we go back to the device it says: "Signing out... Your current license is not supported on this device. Ask your IT administrator for details." Did anything change recently? Is the only fix to make a Teams Room account for this device?6.3KViews0likes1CommentJabra Headset muting all audio when lifting boom arm
We use Jabra Evolve2 65 headsets as standard in our business. Some (not all) users experience the same issue, where when they lift their boom arm it mutes all audio through the headphones for them. Some have managed to get around this by pressing the volume up and down on the headsets, which then kicks the audio back in. I have tried different headsets, updating drivers, rolling back drivers, upgrading to windows 10, Connected through the dongle and turning Bluetooth off and it still doesn't seem to want to work. It seems like a driver issue, but there are no further updates. I'm a bit lost as to what else to do/try! Thanks,6KViews0likes5CommentsTeams device phones missing and offline
I have deployed approximately 60 teams' phones such as Poly CCX400 and Yealink MP54. I noticed only 53 are showing in the portal and 7 are missing but are working on site (one of them is on my desk). Also, after the last firmware was pushed out, half of them now show as "Offline". However, we have physically checked some of the phones, they are online and are completely working even though they are offline on the portal. I also have two phones (Yealink-MP54) that have been updated and one shows the offline error and the other functions normally. I do not know if this is a device issue or a team's issue. All phones are working but the status is just not accurate. LinusCansby I really need an urgent reply. Thank you.5.9KViews1like2CommentsPoly devices and the transition to Android Open Source Project (AOSP)
Today we had a handful of our Poly Teams meeting devices sign out and then refused to re-enroll afterwards. Our devices included Poly Studio X30, X50, X70 and TC8 touch panels. on the screens that were attached to the equipment, upon failure of sign-in and re-enrollment we saw a message on the screen saying "Signing out... This device isn't enrolled in device administrator. Contact your admin". The devices were still available in the Teams admin center so I was able to retrieve diagnostics from the devices. Within the CompanyPortalEventsLog* file in the root of the zip file containing the diagnostic data there was the following line TIMESTAMP CompanyPortalReasonCode: WORK_PLACE_JOINED CompanyPortalStatus: UNKNOWN FailureReason: ENROLLMENT_RESTRICTIONS After further investigation, the devices also had updates applied to them during the early morning hours. After some searching and reading through this article Moving Teams Android Devices to AOSP Device Management | Microsoft Community Hub - even though my devices weren't supposed to be available until February, I followed Step 1 to create an enrollment profile for Android Open Source Project (AOSP) with the settings outlined. However, in my tenant, "For Microsoft Teams Devices" was still being marked as preview. Once this profile/policy was in place I was successful in logging our devices in with their resource accounts. Lucky us that it happened on Friday and not one of our core work days. So, watch out for your Android Teams Room devices with this change/transition happening. Try to work ahead of it to prevent Teams Meeting Room Android devices and Android phones from experiencing downtime in your offices and set the policy up as soon as you can. There's a secondary step to make sure to have a Compliance policy in place for AOSP devices as well, be sure to have that set up so that your devices are still flagged as Compliant in your tenant. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/protect/compliance-policy-create-android-aosp If anyone else sees any other symptoms of this issue post them to this thread to help others troubleshoot.5.7KViews0likes5CommentsMicrosoft teams and VPN
Hello, I am going to Asia and I have some questions regarding the use of VPN and microsoft teams. For the context : I am working in France I will travel in Asia for a few months My boss doesn't care where I work (he even encourages me to travel lol) But for company policy my IP needs to be in France This is my own computer and I am checking for a VPN My main use of the VPN will be for microsoft teams because I have 1 or 2 meetings per month The problem is : I’ve heard people say that Microsoft teams sometimes fails to report the vpn address and still reports the local one My questions are : Did you ever meet this kind of issue ? Is it possible for the host or IT to check where is located my IP via teams ?5.5KViews0likes1CommentHow to revert "Automatically Hiding Inactive Channels" (globally) ?
Hi, some colleagues reported that they cannot find some channels in Teams anymore. I found this: https://office365itpros.com/2024/07/03/teams-inactive-channels/ And now I am worried becaues I can expierence the same behavior. We have lots of customer teams that get created from a MS Flow following a certain structure (5 general channels for each team). Lots of these channels are hidden now. I already unchecked the button in MS Teams saying: "Clean up channel list" but it seems like this is not reverting it. In some customer teams we have more than 100 channels for existing projects and the general channels such as "Basic Information" for example is at the very bottom and I would need to manually make it visible. This is obviously now acceptable. Does anyone know: Is there a way to globally deactivate that feature via MS Teams Admin and/or Intune to prevent newly registered devices / teams from cleaning up the channel list? Could not find anything so far. How can I revert these changes on existing devices so that it was like it was before (the general channels are on the top again). Thanks!!5.3KViews4likes6Comments
