It's possible, there are browsers like Kiwi that support it. would be great if Microsoft Edge did the same and allowed our extensions used in desktop to be used on Android phones and tablets too. of course this needs to be considered in the process of revamping the current Edge Android version and swapping its engines.Solved165KViews60likes74CommentsEdge on Android isn't available for opening PDFs
Android 9 pie and latest version of Edge Android beta, in the file manager when I "Open with" on PDF file, Edge isn't available. I'd like the same features we have on desktop, Mac, Linux to be available on Android and IOS too. if you want the same, please send a feedback through Edge browser about this. thank you43KViews5likes24Comments[solved] Why can't we use Edge://Flags on Edge Android?
Update: we can access Edge://flags on Edge Android now Edge for Android is based on Chromium, so why can't we access the Chromium flags? I tried Edge://flags , Chrome://flags , about://flags . none of them worked why Edge on Android doesn't let user access the flags to modify the settings?24KViews6likes8CommentsEdge Android is way too slow
Hello everyone, I started using Edge on my entry-level laptop, and I absolutely love it. Filled with features and SegmentHeap drastically reduces the amount of RAM being used, and it's way faster than Chrome or any other browser I've used. However, on my phone, it's a whole other story. I am using a Samsung Galaxy A50, a 2019 mid-range phone and pretty much every browser performs fine, except Edge, it is horribly slow. It takes ages to load webpages, and when they do load, scrolling and navigating is choppy and slow. I don't understand why this is happening, as every other browser works fine. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? I have switched back to Chrome painfully on both my laptop and phone, as syncing between them is very important to me. Thanks 😃😃😃14KViews5likes15CommentsSaved Passwords in Edge are now available to All apps on Mobile - System Wide Password Manager
I've been using Microsoft Authenticator Beta app for a while on my Android phone, today I received an update and now the app works as a system-wide password manager (Password filler), for all websites and apps. This should work on IOS too. Links to Google play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.azure.authenticator&hl=en_US&gl=US And App store. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-authenticator/id983156458 (remember you have to enroll in Beta for now until this is rolled out to the public) Q: How are my passwords protected by the Authenticator app? A: Authenticator app already provides a high level of security for multi-factor authentication and account management, and the same high security bar is also extended to managing your passwords. Edge on Android is now on the latest version, the same as Edge desktop, everything is new and up to date. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/discussions/new-edge-canary-mobile-version-available-now-updated-chromium/m-p/2275690 I'm using Edge beta on Android 9. the Chromium version in it is version 77. right now the latest stable version is 80, Beta is 81 so naturally, just like Google chrome itself, Edge Beta should have Chromium 81 but in reality it is using a very old Chromium version 77. Why is that? p.s I detected the engine version using multiple websites that are made to detect browser engines in browsers.9.4KViews3likes11CommentsCollections in Edge for Android
I installed Edge on my Android phone today because I'm using Collections in both my desktop and laptop, and wanted to add some links from my phone as well. I didn't find any way to see / edit Collections on Edge mobile, and I can't find any information about Collections being supported in the future either. Is there any information about that?7.9KViews6likes7CommentsNew Edge Canary Mobile version - Available Now - Updated Chromium version

This even happened to me and other people that I know, we wanted to remove a site icon that was pinned to home screen and thought selecting "uninstall" will remove it but then we realized it actually deleted the whole Edge browser from Android! the "uninstall" option is misleading. on Edge Windows 10, the uninstall option on sites pinned as PWA, only uninstalls/removes the site, doesn't uninstall the whole browser. on Android Edge should have the same behavior.5.4KViews2likes16Comments
