I see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/accessibility-guidelines for SP 2016 regarding section 508 complaint. But in this article it was mentioned only for 2016 may be because this is belongs to only SP 2016 version. https://i.stack.imgur.com/VXmz2.png But i don't find any information from Microsoft regarding SharePoint 2019 compatibility with Accessibility guidelines. Does anyone know this information?Solved1.3KViews1like1CommentDownload and Access Issues for External Users with SharePoint “Anyone” link sharing option.
Hi All, We are looking for help resolving a recurring issue with file sharing in SharePoint. All files and folders we share with external customers use the “Anyone” sharing link option (Anyone with the link can access). Despite this, we regularly face these problems: Customers can view files but cannot always download them from the browser (for example, using the "Create a Copy”, “Download a Copy" or "Save as" option in the PowerPoint files). Sometimes, sharing the parent folder (containing the file) link allows the external user to download, even though the file link itself does not. The problem is intermittent and not linked to settings or policies—sometimes everything works, sometimes it does not, even when we generate new links. No restrictive site, library, or organizational policies are applied; “Block download” is not set and full link access is confirmed. Using a private/incognito tab sometimes enables the link to work when it otherwise fails in a normal browser session, but not always. We want to understand why this happens and whether there is an underlying issue, known bug, or additional configuration we should review that could make “Anyone” links unpredictable for downloads with external users. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? If so, how did you resolve it, or are you still searching for answers? We’d really appreciate hearing your experiences and suggestions! Thank you for your advice and support!337Views1like3CommentsDocument Viewer Changes Users View (Recent SP Update)
Starting about 2 weeks ago, a recent Microsoft SharePoint update has been having the same issues we saw a year ago when they pushed updates. Put a couple user stories below for context. I can tell the update has not hit all users yet because my excel icon at the top is still green, whereas all the effected users have a black and white excel icon. (See Pic) User opens up their prefiltered view (aka their que) in a document library and then filters again on a specific column to work on a specific vendor and then clicks on the pdf which launches the preview. if you watch the background thru the tinted area, you will see that the list immediately reverts to the unfiltered original list, and when the user clicks the next document button, they are looking at a file that was not intended to look at for the task they are completing. User opens up a view that is not the default one, gets their que of items to deal with, clicks on the first pdf in the list and the list behind the previewed file changes to the default view, which is intended only for those who have their name in the people column that is responsible for that file. in this case, that list is blank for the user because their name is not in the assigned to column. meaning that they can't move on to their next item to assign out and instead have to go back to their view and then click on the next item. This is really affecting performance and sanity for my admins that are trying to do what they have been doing for 6 years now.465Views1like2CommentsPagination not showing in Modern View
