79 Topicsto big title bar in Office 365 update 2408
Hi all, since a couple of days I have to work with the ugly, annoying, awful, ... user interface in Office 365. The title bar size became horrible large. Compared with an explorer window from Win 10 it is nearly the double height. As an Office Poweruser (I'm working with the office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) unluckily the whole day) I'm looking for smallen the title bar again. There was a registry hack, but on my machine this isn't working anymore. Because of the ribbon interface and a lot of not needed functions this is how my Quick Access Toolbars (QAT) are looking like: Now somebody could tell my, "OK, switch the QAT to the top, so that the title bar get more sense! Problem is, that the monochrome icons are absolutly boring AND especially for Word I can't differ between my macros, which I set with different colours. The title bar is smaller because of the standard buttons and the search field, so that not all my most loved commands have space here Dragging the window can not be done with the title bar, as it was since the beginning of time. I need to find some space somewhere. Does someone have an idea to reduce the size of the title bar as it was before? Or does someone have an idea to colorize the icons, when they are inside the title bar? If I consider that the taskbar is also increasing in size, especially in WIN 11 where this isn't adjustable, both sides (top + bottom) in sum are steeling to many space. Cheers! We recently rolled out Office 365 2016 suite (C2R) using the Office Deployment Tool and SCCM. We excluded Access from the install as most users don't need it and the ones that do needed to update their DB's before we deployed. Now the organization is ready to roll out Access, but I'm unable to find a way to install Access using the ODT without uninstalling the whole Office Suite. When I run the setup.exe /configure configuration.xml, it uninstalls everything and just puts on Access. Here is what my configuration.xml file looks like: <Configuration> <Add OfficeClientEdition="32" Channel="Broad" OfficeMgmtCOM="TRUE"> <Product ID="O365ProPlusRetail"> <Language ID="en-us" /> <ExcludeApp ID="Excel" /> <ExcludeApp ID="Groove" /> <ExcludeApp ID="Lync" /> <ExcludeApp ID="OneDrive" /> <ExcludeApp ID="OneNote" /> <ExcludeApp ID="Outlook" /> <ExcludeApp ID="PowerPoint" /> <ExcludeApp ID="Publisher" /> <ExcludeApp ID="Word" /> <ExcludeApp ID="SharePointDesigner" /> </Product> </Add> <Updates Enabled="FALSE" /> <Display Level="None" AcceptEULA="TRUE" /> <Logging Level="Standard" Path="%temp%"/> <Property Name="PinIconsToTaskbar" Value="FALSE"/> </Configuration> Any ideas on how to add Access without uninstalling the whole suite?46KViews2likes7CommentsDynamic group based on custom security attribute
Can anyone answer this question. Can or should i be able to create a Dynamic group filtering on a customer security attribute. Yes I know you can filter based on extenstionattribute1-15 however i have noted that accounts create in Entra don't appear to have the option to view extension attributes plus these come from an on prem created account. So the questions are: Can I create a dynamic group using a custom security attribute and if so how because the custom attributes don't show up in the Property options when creating the dynamic group query How can I add to the extension attributes for non on prem sync accounts (accounts created in Entra)212Views1like1CommentI tried to start a discussion - got a "flooding" message - discussion isn't up, as far as I can tell
I'm new to the community. I successfully started a discussion a few weeks ago, but when I tried again today, I got a "flooding" message and my discussion was never posted. How can I get my discussion posted? Thanks in advance for any help! The play by play: I was typing today's new discussion and adding screenshots when the site seemed to lock up. (I could still see the message section of the screen, but the rest was greyed out.) Not finding a way to make the screen active, I went out of the site and came back in. Not being able to find my draft, I retyped the discussion, added screenshots, and hit "Post." I received a message that I had saved content. I tried to retrieve the saved content. Nothing seemed to happen. I then tried to discard the saved content. I was still getting error messages that I needed to fix things that were highlighted but didn't see anything highlighted. As I was working with it, I eventually got a "flooding" message saying I had posted more than twice in 300 seconds. My access database crashes reading image file properties using the Windows Image Acquisition Library 2.0 (wiaaut.dll) on a Windows 11 PC I am hoping to get help with a code solution or to find someone else who gets a similar failure outcome that can be forwarded to Microsoft I have been relying on Windows Image Acquisition Library for a couple years now to compile and manage a catalog of photographs with their properties in an MS Access database. Previously, I have had no problems using a PC running Windows 10. Now I have a new PC running Windows 11 and my application crashes (shut down) while collecting image properties from the WIA.Imagefile object. I imported the same code module that has the relevant subroutines into Excel and get the same result. The application crashes. The crash occurs in an apparently random fashion. It scans the same collection of 3800 images repeatedly and I find that the crash can occur anywhere between the first and last image file scanned, It can also occur on any of the 65 or so properties that are offered in the WIA.ImageFile object. I have sufficient error trapping on all the subroutines that are called in the process but no error handling code block is ever entered before the application crashes. In comparison, these MS Access and Excel applications can read, without issue, the file properties that are made available in the FileSystemObject and in the Shell32 object. Relevant tech specs are: The PC is a Dell Inspiron 7700 AIO with 11th gen Intel i7-1165g7 with 32g of RAM, 1TB SSD drive, with 750GB free Running windows 11 Home 10.0.22000 Build 22000 I am Using Office 365 Version 2203 Build 15028.20160 (I have the same Office 365 build on a Windows 10 PC with no issues) I have attached a module with the subroutines I use, with hopes that an Access or Excel expert can help me figure this out.1.5KViews1like0CommentsMicrosoft Access network interruptions
Hi! Not sure I'm supposed to put this here, so if you could direct me to where I should be if this isn't the place. Thanks. My Access file has a few people working on it. From time to time I will get a connection interruption which makes all the data change to "#no name". It creates a new file and the old files cannot be deleted. This happens quite often, I'm not sure why. This seems to only happen when there are multiple people on it at the same time. And now my folder is getting full of old broken copies of the file568Views1like0CommentsMS Access 2016 Options - Trusted Locations are disabled
MS Access Options - Trust Locations are disabled A number of MS Access features required to maintain a few databases are not working and come up with error messages - particularly the wizards. It looks like the issue might be with Trusted Locations - specifically making. Client User (mclaines access.jpg) have compared settings with other client user (razayhen access.jpg) whose MS Access is working properly and the settings are very different, but I don't have access to change it. Can you please review the attached screenshots to fix it with some resolution.1.2KViews1like0Comments
