Windows 10
11 TopicsWindows 11 ADMX and mixed enviorement (win 10 and win 11)
Dear, I hope you are well, I still have the doubt if the windows 11 ADMX are already compatible with windows 10. I noticed that my power GPOs, administrator permissions and remote desktop enablement were not being applied on windows 11 computers but were on windows 10. I started reading and found that there were new ADMX for windows 11 but they were not backward compatible with windows 10 and this makes administration a nightmare. Finally this was solved? I can quietly apply the new templates for windows 11 without them not working for windows 10? I am afraid to make the change and generate chaos. I remain attentive, Greetings to all!Solved2.8KViews0likes5CommentsRemote desktop users do not allow reconnection
Hello everyone, Last week we started having problems with our user's sessions to the remote desktop, investigating we found the issue was "supposedly" an error from Microsoft with an update, then we found some patches that supposedly fixed it, however we still have cases of users despite having the patch installed are able to connect to the remote desktop but if for some reason they disconnect, they can not reconnect, they simply receive an error message regarding the password. If they wait a few minutes (more than 15 minutes) and try again, then possibly they can connect again.Another option is rebooting the workstations they are connected to and when they reconnect they do so without any problems. We have followed up on the whole process and our DNS is fine, our Gateway is fine, so we have no idea where else to look. By the way for our login validation process we use DUO Two Factor Authentication. Any ideas? I have setup ADBA for Windows 10 activation. We're having an issue where different and multiple workstations randomly get the watermark saying to activate Windows. When checking Start / Settings / Update & Security / Activation this also shows that Windows is not activated. HOWEVER when running SLMGR.VBS /DLV, the status shows as licensed. The various troubleshooting steps we have used include SLMGR /ato to reactivate which always works. SLMGR /ipk to manually apply the license (recommended by "MS Support") Replace the TOKENS.DAT (recommended by "MS Support") I put MS Support in quotes because it's their outsourced support. So far nothing has stuck. We have ADBA objects for Server 2019 and Office 2019. So far none of our 2019 servers or Office activations have this issue. Please help if possible. Thanks. I have several clients running Win 10 v20H2 that are failing to install the update "2021-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5004945) from our WSUS server with "Status: download error - 0x80242017". However, if I manually log into the workstation and "Check online for updates from Microsoft Update", it downloads and installs the update with no errors. The "Self Contained" cab file for the update is present in the proper directory on the WSUS server, although the two "Express" files are not. The WSUS server is running on Windows Server 2019 v1809. Here's what I've done for troubleshooting on the client side: Run Windows Update Troubleshooter: It can't find any issues. Reset Windows Updates components "manually" using batch script. Run dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth Run sfc /scannow I've attached the System and WindowsUpdateClient event logs, as well as the CBS.log and DISM.log from the workstation I'm troubleshooting with.Solved79KViews0likes16CommentsFile association getting reset for PDF

Effected machines are windows 10 enterprise 20H1 and 20H2 We updated some machines to 20h2 and got same behaviour. Approx impact 300 users at client side. GPO and GPP are not helpful. We doubt it's bug related to file association. Anyone else facing same issue ?4.9KViews1like3CommentsI need HELP! How to install Windows 10 on Windows Server?

We have a new WSUS server for our Windows 10 systems that we are starting to roll out. We point devices to WSUS using group policy. I have noticed that when you first connect a PC to the domain, it does not initially show in WSUS, but when the PC checks for updates, or if you manually check for updates then it appears in WSUS, I am guessing this behaviour is normal. The PC has been moved to the correct group in WSUS etc. The issue I am finding is that when you look for updates on Windows 10, it shows that the device is at risk because it is out of date, and it suggests looking for updates. When you press the Check for updates button it seems to check, but then it comes up with the same message stating that it is at risk and that I should check for updates. You can check again, but the same issue occurs. I have looked at multiple articles online and the only fix I have found for this is on the PC experiencing the issue you have to change the time from UK time to US timezone, and also set it to 1 day ahead. As soon as you press the check for updates button, it seems to look at WSUS and downloads and installs the appropriate updates? Thanks.1.4KViews0likes0CommentsAuto lost files windows 10 pro
