Hey Everyone, in our company we have Meeting Rooms that are used by everyone. There does exist a meeting room user to be used directly for meetings. So you can invite the user and can directly join the meeting on the notebook to start the meeting fast and in a dynamic way. We have set the Messaging and Meeting Policy, to disable the Chat completely. This is partially working. So there is no Icon for Chat for example, while they could use a Teams Group to request help for example. But there does exist a third possibility for Chats -> Recent Chats. In Recent Chats, there is a history of all meetings that took place with that user and is also containing the Chat history. This can lead to confidentiality breaches if people use the Chat. Now we would like to disable the Recent Chat completely, but can not find any option for this in the Teams Admin Panel. Now the question: Is there any way how to disable the Recent Chat? Or is there a way to delete those messages on that account only in the Recent Chat history (Not wanting to delete all messages in that Meeting Chat, as others want to keep the information) Some help here would be much appreciated. Hello , When you start a meeting with at least one user and you will post something on the chat like messages or even files,a new chat with the name of meeting will be created and it will stay on the recent chat part. I would like to know how much time this chat will still exist or be avaible on Teams ? We don't have any kind of policy that delete messagges or file's after X days so all is based on how Teams manage the chat.. Do someone know about it ?863Views0likes1Comment
