5 TopicsAdding Custom Header to Microsoft Teams Login Requests Using mitmproxy Causes HTTP 404 Error
Hi Team, We are using mitmproxy to add a custom header to all requests during the login process in the Microsoft Teams Windows application. The purpose of adding this custom header is to verify that the request is coming from a specific device by checking this header on our sso server. Unfortunately, we are unable to bypass the login URLs. Adding the custom header is a crucial part of our verification process. However, we are encountering the following issue: When using mitmproxy to modify requests, the Microsoft Teams app fails to connect and shows the error: "We can't connect you. HTTP 404 login.microsoftonline.com" Is there a way to add a custom header to requests from the Teams app without breaking the connection to the Microsoft login endpoint? We appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue or insights into how Teams validates its login requests to avoid potential interference. Looking forward to your reply. Hi expert, our windows 10 endpoints are all corporate domain joined. Proxy pac is configured on IE settings. We found out this particular windows service called "Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant (wlidsvc)" is connecting directly to firewall without using our proxy server. All other services will use proxy server as per normal. My question is about how do we force all services, applications on Win 10 to force use proxy pac? Thank you.686Views0likes0CommentsMy IT Support Cannot Provide a ProxyMode Exception
My environment has Chrome's and Edge's ProxySettings locked down to ProxyMode:direct. This prevents me from running a local (system) proxy, specifically Fiddler, so that I can check and debug the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solutions I am developing. I have passed on all the documentation I have found (see below) and the support staff have been unable to provide me with an exception so that my setting is ProxyMode:system. Is this a limitation with how policies are managed for Chromium or is there additional guidance I can provide to my IT support personnel? I'm very interested in this product and previously, we implemented our own solution through Azure Virtual Machines which we had to manage completely. In our particular use case scenario, we want to control users' access to Internet and block certain protocols. Here are two specific examples of what we want to do: We'd like to create a white list of websites users can visit and block all the rest. We'd like to turn off FTP protocol completely and take any other action we can to prevent users from "uploading" files to outside world. How could we handle these two scenarios if we were to use Azure Windows Virtual Desktop?4.9KViews0likes1Comment[FIXED] "Open proxy settings" in the the new Microsoft Edge's settings....
UPDATE: Fixed in: Version 77.0.201.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) "Open proxy settings" in the the new Microsoft Edge browser settings, opens the old "Internet Properties" window from Internet explorer. it should open the modern proxy settings in the Windows settings. Chrome canary 77 does this. (Edge Version 77.0.186.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit))14KViews3likes3Comments
