Turning off Email notifications....
Hi there, we have users that complaine about too much EMails send by the Planner App in teams. For instance, they do receive an email every time someone adds a comment to a task, where they are members. And they claim that this is only since last week or so. They want that to be turned off. But I cannot find where it could be located? Can anyone help. Thanks a Million Berthold
MS Planner: Ability to assign sub-tasks?
Hi there, We are using Planner and was hoping to find a way to assign sub-tasks within a task to specific team members. This way, we don't need to track dozens of tasks for one project. We are also not interested in created a Planner for each project, because some projects may only be 1-3 tasks that need to be worked on by multiple team members. We are using the checklist feature and assigning multiple people to a task, manually typing their name in the checklist - but this is not a great tool, as it leaves room for a lot of human error, unable to assign deadlines for checklist items, and we can't@ team members in the comments in a task. Is this possible or at least in the pipeline for Planner? Other project mgmt tools offer this, so I can't find a reason why Planner would skip this entirely. I am hoping I am just missing something.
Frustrations with the New Planner Update
I was looking forward to the new Planner update, but instead of improvements, I’m seeing several changes that have negatively impacted my team’s workflow. Here are the main issues: "Assigned to Me" View: Previously, this view acted as a personal Planner automatically grouped by buckets, which was really helpful. Now, it’s been replaced with a simple list view, and the "Schedule" view for personal tasks has also been removed. Copying Plans: In the previous version, we could copy a plan and retain all the tags we'd created. Now, when copying a plan, the tasks no longer retain these tags, and when attempting to reassign them, the tags aren’t available in the copied plan. These changes have made it more challenging for us to manage tasks effectively. Is there any way to revert to the previous version of Planner or enable these features again?
Editing multiple entries in Planner, e.g. using a quick edit view, a fill handle or the like
There should be a way to quickly edit one property of several tasks in Planner - for example setting a due date. What I have in mind is the fill handle in Excel or the Quick Edit View in SharePoint task lists. As far as I know, this is missing (also see answers below). If so, it seems to me to be a small but highly significant feature request. Regards JoMS Planner board doesn't follow my regional date format
The dates at the Board of my MS planner appear in the US format, e.g. the 25th of July appears as 07/25. This is very confusing in the european environment. I have tried to changed that. I went to https://myaccount.microsoft.com/settingsandprivacy/language and I set the regional date format to 25/07. Unfortunately the board still shows the dates in the US format. Any idea how to fix that?Is there no way to 'Group by Bucket' in 'My Tasks' ?
When I go to the 'My tasks' section, I don't seem to be able to group by bucket. What is the point of having buckets if I can't sort my tasks by bucket? I don't want to sift through dozens of my colleague's tasks just to find mine, that is the point of having the 'My tasks' section. As my Planner gets more and more tasks, I am finding it harder to manage.New Planner doesn't remember "Group By" setting
I was recently converted to the New Planner. My "Group" by settings were reverted to default, which wasn't a big deal, however I quickly related that New Planner doesn't remember "Group By" setting. I open my specific Planner, set the "Group By" to Due Date, but after I browse away and come back, the "Group By" has reverted to the default of Buckets. "Old" Planner used to remember all settings between sessions as you browsed away from and back to your Planner. This is very annoying and a loss of basic functionality. Please consider restoring this feature.
Revert to old Planner?
As of today, the new Planner version has been rolled out for our organisation. MS Planner is pretty much the most important tool for our project management. With the update, we can no longer copy plans without deleting all tags. In our organisation, the tags assign the responsible department to the respective tasks. This makes them extremely important. "Template Plan": Plan after we did a copy&paste: Even the Tags have to be renamed: Is there a way to revert to the old Planner? Is Microsoft aware of this problem? Kind Regards Jonathan
