I recently had my.laptop stolen. Fortunately my files have mostly been backed up on OneDrive which was set up when I first purchase the laptop. However I can't recall what an username or email I uaed and the password. Any ideas how I can get reminded of the user password at least. The password I can work out or reset it. I'm not 100% as ure was onedrive but as was windows 7 I assume one drive. I always rember between desktop and the c: drive and any other drives such as those when attach phone or other devices. I remember the external.memory being in between on the file explorer. Can anyone help me? Was thinking if I supply my regular used IP address or can find the device or laptop name can Microsoft help me at all..I had around 8 years of photos on there. Please please help thanks.in advance.1.3KViews0likes3CommentsOneDrive, Folder Redirection, .PST files, and PC Folder Backup
I was prepared to leverage PC folder backup to move user files from personal Z-drive to OneDrive but I've run into an issue... If I turn on PC folder backup, it will look at the existing folder redirection, MOVE the file from Z-drive to C:\users\username\OneDrive - xxx folder, THEN skip the .pst file from sync. The problem is Outlook is now broken because it cannot find the attached .pst file because it was moved. This is a great solution, now held captive by !@# .pst files (scheduled for 2022 demise internally). I just didn't want to wait for later in 2022 to get the files moved into OneDrive.2KViews0likes0CommentsDisable Creation of Shared Libraries
Hello, I am in the process of rolling out SharePoint Online and OneDrive for our organization. I do not want end users to have the ability to create new SharePoint sites. I have disabled this within the SharePoint admin console, however users can still create Shared Libraries from their OneDrive accounts which in turn creates a new SharePoint site. My question is, as an Administrator is there the ability to disable this button from appearing on peoples OneDrive accounts? Thanks, Tony13KViews0likes8CommentsFolder redirection (with DFS) and OneDrive known folder GPO
We are using DFS and all Documents are being redirected to a File Server. I tried using theOneDrive Known Folder Move Group Policy but then found out that the folders can only be in their default location (hence the KNOWN folder name haha). My question is, is there a way to still easily move users files to OneDrive if they are saved on a server?2.4KViews0likes0Comments
