7 TopicsWhats happens when Office Retail user signs in with Microsoft 365 account
Hi all, i have a situation where users are being migrated, so E3 some F3 but wanted to know what happens when user who is using Office 2016 Retail signs in to their Office with Microsoft 365 account that doesn't have Microsoft apps enabled or available. Does Office Retail continue to work as normal, is anything blocked or restricted? Anything to be mindful of? ThanksSolved230Views0likes2CommentsOffice 2019 Pro Plus Licensing
Hi All I'm seeking guidance on the licensing procedure for Office 2019, particularly in relation to Outlook. I'm part of an organization where certain staff members have Office 2019. Is there a distinction between an application license and a user license for Outlook? Some of the general accounts utilize an A1 license and encounter compatibility issues with 2019 Outlook. However, my colleagues mention that we possess a 2019 license. Consequently, is there a separate license designated for the applications and another for the user? My understanding is that the A1 license doesn't encompass client applications and is solely for online use. Therefore, would individuals requiring access to the Outlook client need an E3 license? Hello, I have a PST storage (POP) with my calendar and contacts. Then I add a OST mailbox (IMAP) with a new email to delete the old PST. I try to transfer via import/export contacts and calendar from PST to OST. Export data from PST ok. Import data to OST ok. But when open calendar or contacts there is no data. What am I doing wrong? greetings, MiguelMigrating from Office 2019 32-bit to Office 365 Enterprise 64-bit
Hello everyone, I have to carry out the conversion from our Office 2019 32-bit to Office 365 Enterprise 64-bit. For this purpose, I have downloaded the installers and have constructed the following configuration file: <Configuration> <Add OfficeClientEdition="64" Channel="Current"> <Product ID="O365ProPlusRetail"> <Language ID="en-us" /> <ExcludeApp ID="Groove" /> <ExcludeApp ID="Lync" /> <ExcludeApp ID="Publisher" /> </Product> </Add> <Updates Enabled="TRUE" Channel="Current" /> <Display Level="None" AcceptEULA="TRUE" /> <Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" /> <Property Name="SharedComputerLicensing" Value="0" /> <Property Name="FORCEAPPSHUTDOWN" Value="FALSE" /> <Property Name="DeviceBasedLicensing" Value="0" /> <Property Name="SCLCacheOverride" Value="0" /> <Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" /> <Updates Enabled="TRUE" /> <RemoveMSI /> </Configuration> For some reason, every time I start the process, it stops within seconds of having begun. So, I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly. If not, could someone guide me on how I can make this transition? 08/10/2023 10:34:04.669 SETUP (0x56c) 0x123c Click-To-Run c0afi Medium C2R::Setup::Application::RunPrereqs {"MachineId": "02b33b2c6f0bf84486b411704d02590f", "SessionID": "9196df31-b463-42e2-a12f-7f41a03571ba", "GeoID": 244, "Ver": "16.0.10380.20037", "C2RClientVer": "16.0.15928.20196", "ContextData": "{\"message\":\"Prereq checks complete\",\"PreReqResult Value\":\"1\"}"} 08/10/2023 10:34:04.669 SETUP (0x56c) 0x123c Click-To-Run c0afk Medium C2R::Setup::Application::Execute::<lambda_1>::operator () {"MachineId": "02b33b2c6f0bf84486b411704d02590f", "SessionID": "9196df31-b463-42e2-a12f-7f41a03571ba", "GeoID": 244, "Ver": "16.0.10380.20037", "C2RClientVer": "16.0.15928.20196", "ContextData": "{\"message\":\"PreReqs did not pass. Some emails I receive load slowly in the reading pane, about 30+ seconds when I click on them in my inbox. This usually happens with mails, with lots of links and graphics, with large newsletters. When I click "Forward" or "Reply", I can read such an email immediately in the draft that opens, without delay. I use Windows 10 pro (19045.3271) and Microsoft Outlook for Office 365 (16626.20132). All Up to date.... Different accounts, Exchange, POP3 & IMAP, occurs with all of them. I already tried around with moving/ forwarding the mails. No difference. Sluggish loading of original mail, no problem forwarding or replying. 1GBit fiber, 100MBit VDSL & 30MBit wireless network, happens regardless of connection/router. MSI, I5, 32GB, NVIDIA Quadro 1200K, SSD, everything fine, everything up to date. Autostart is maintained and the usual suspects are checked. Without addins same game, with clean restart too. ESET NOD32 is excluded, mails are loaded completely, nothing with headers or so. No extra firewall. The problem exists since some time. Original mail sticks, no matter what folder or account it is opened from. Reply & Forward works as expected and the content is there immediately. No matter if the mail has been loaded before or not. In the meantime I open the affected mails (you learn with time where it's stuck) directly via right mouse button and Forward..... Viewing in the browser works, changing the default browser does not change anything. The phenomenon does not occur in OWA. No abnormalities in browsing, no other graphics problems. Disabling graphics acceleration also brings no change. The security settings in Outlook have not been tampered with. Network settings are reset. While loading the problematic mails, Outlook makes a CPU load between 25% and 35% and shows sometimes "not responding"! A comparable problem is described here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/outlook-reading-pane-slow-to-load-for-some... Is anyone struggling with similar issues? Is there a known cause? New profile, deletion of the *.ost file, change of cache settings, change from 32bit to 64bit version, has all already taken place. No difference. Lastly, the firmware of the installed Quadro K1200 was updated, also no change. Are mails rendered differently when opening and previewing than when forwarding or replying? Fonts or network restrictions can certainly be ruled out, since download and rendering are free of delays when replying/forwarding.....Why they go to draft when I accept?
Hello everyone, Users in my network have reported that for some reason every time they accept or reject an appointment from the calendar, it goes to the drafts folder. Some are using the Office 2019 version and others have the enterprise 365 version, so no matter what version of Outlook you have the behavior is the same. Any ideas?2.6KViews0likes2Comments
