DNS record auto registered even the auto registration option was unchecked
Hello guys, I have an DC which have two NICs, A for Domain service and B for camera server. I don't want the IP address of NIC B registered in our DNS, so I uncheck the auto register option in the advance setting of NIC B. However, the IP address of it still keep registering t our DNS even I have manually deleted that option. Hyper-V NIC Configuration Question
I am about to build a new Windows 2025 Standard Edition server with 2 Ethernet ports and Hyper-V. Should I configure the 2 NICs as a teamed NIC that is shared with Hyper-V, or dedicate one NIC to Windows Server 2025 and the other NIC to Hyper-V? Or is there another recommended configuration? New server 2022 not connecting properly
I have a 2012r2 DC to which I added a new 2022 server. The server manager on the DC reports That the RPC server is unavailable, and that the target server name can not be resolved. The firewall has incoming ports 5985 and 5986 enabled. I have not installed AD yet on the new server DC1 I have been going down rabbit trails for longer than expected, what should I be looking for?
window server 2025 ping problème

Choosing motherboard for Win 2022 Server

Got a bit of a weird issue here...... We have just started using AAD machines via autopilot & intune and doing testing on them accessing resources on our current onprem domain, got things sorted so they can access file shares and DFS namespace shares perfectly fine and thats all going through, but having an issue with intermittent issues with netlogon. There seems to be no pattern but when trying to hit \\domain\netlogon that will work but when trying \\domain.fqdn.gov.uk\netlogon that wont work. However without doing anything trying again a little while later and it will be the opposite way around that can access on the full fqdn but not the short name, and then to make it worse, sometimes both work at the same time. Different devices have been tried and had 2 side by side where one could access short but not fqdn and the other could access fqdn but not short. At the same time if i try to access any server shares on either short name or fqdn then those are fine, seems to just be issues with netlogon on the domain. at all times i can run to \\domain & \\domain.fqdn.gov.uk and the folder list of sysvol and netlogon both appear but its just guess work which is going to work. This happens the same on both our internal network and when connected via cisco anyconnect vpn back into our network. Hopefully someone has come across a similar issue and fixed it! Windows 11 and NPS authentication issue
Hi everyone, I am in the process of testing Windows 11 23H2 and I am having issue with RADIUS Authentication. Radius Authentication is working fine with Windows 10 so I know there is nothing wrong with the Radius. However I seen a lot discussions online and looks like it is related to EAP types and some claiming it's TLS1.3 related issue. Has anyone got it working and if you did can you please share your settings? My current test settings on NPS end as below. And my GPO settings are as below I have all the names format matching (upper case, lower case) for Server name and SSID names. Thanks

Dear, I currently have a DC deployed on Windows Server 2019. i want to configure a specific default image on lock screens on Windows 10 pro clients via group policy. Is this possible or is it only compatible with Enterprise or Education editions? Thanks in advance,
Communication problem between two Windows Server servers on port 38008
Good afternoon everyone, I have been trying to solve a communication problem between two servers for 2 weeks. I need from virtual server A (Azure VM) to query server B (Azure VM) via POSTMAN. Both servers are communicating with each other on standard ports. I have made an Inbound and Outbound exception in Windows Firewall and in Network Security Groups in Azure. I am still getting errors related to timeout and no communication when I test it with telnet or Azure VM with Connection Troubleshooting. When I try to run a GET in POSTMAN, I end up with a failure to communicate error. Any ideas on how to fix this? I can put you more details - let me know what you need. Thank you
