Thanks for your help!112KViews0likes26CommentsUpload file option is freezed while creating a new form.
Answer is in the settings, you need to change who can fill this form, if you have selected Anyone, the upload function will not work for security/malware issues. Also, if you select only people from my organization, then it will start working fine. BR Hitesh Ved 8390703219143Views0likes2CommentsCan a answer in MS forms be changed and updated in Excel?
When using MS Forms the option to change / edit an answer is great! However, when looking at the Excel file from which the Form is connected, no update is made to the initial answer. Can it be done so that changed answers are updated in the Excel file?135Views0likes0CommentsAuto filling Microsoft Form from Excel
Hi all I am hoping to use Microsoft forms as an inspection sheet platform. What I want to do is to use power automate to prefill a Microsoft form with information from an Excel spreadsheet. The sheet will contain a register of businesses we inspect. Power automate will take information from that sheet (business name/address/contact person) and prefill the form with that information. The idea is that an officer in the field on a mobile device can open the register in SharePoint and create an inspection sheet with the business's details prefilled. Is this a possible use case?7KViews0likes3CommentsThe answers are being stored as text, which prevents me from working with them as numbers in Excel.
I've created several Forms where I ask questions that require numeric answers. I've already set a restriction to accept only numbers, which works well. However, when I export the responses to Excel and try to use the =SUM function to add up the answers, I find that the numbers are stored as text (e.g., '2000), so I'm unable to sum them. Is there a way to change this so that the numbers are formatted correctly for calculations? What are the possible solutions to fix this issue?219Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft Forms notifications with shared form
Hello dear community, I have the following problem: I have created a feedback form with MS Forms. This should automatically insert its results into an Excel table available online. So far so good. But so that my colleagues also have access to this table, I have moved the form to a specially created Teams group (also so that the Excel table takes over all changes live online). Since then, however, no one has received an email notification when the form has been completed (the corresponding box is ticked in the form). Can anyone help me? Briefly about the initial situation: The feedback form should be completed by our guests and a group of employees should be notified by e-mail when a form has been completed. It is equally important to collect the results in a self-synchronising Excel spreadsheet, which our team must have access to. Both for viewing and for making changes. This is because responsibilities need to be assigned and comments made manually. As I said, the core problem is the non-existent e-mail notification as soon as I link the form to an online Excel spreadsheet. Is there a workflow for my problem or am I perhaps making a mistake? I look forward to your answers and thank you in advance. PS: Happy New Year!8.3KViews0likes5CommentsGenerating pre-filled forms links from Excel data
Hi! I'm trying to automate some tasks at the school I work at: every year we collect some data from the new students using MS Forms and now we'd like to send a secondary form to the students that tick a certain box in that form. Is there a way to automatically generate a unique form link for each student that tick that box, send it to the e-mail they supply and have the response to that form tied to their supplied e-mail? Or have the new form have the student's name pre-filled? I know I can do a branching structure in the first form, but we'd really like to separate the questions to different forms if we can. Thank you!219Views0likes0CommentsPre-fill fields in a Microsoft Forms form
Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to pre-fill certain fields in a Microsoft Forms form. I've created a form to collect information, but I'd like to make the process easier for users by pre-filling certain fields with pre-existing data. Is there a feature in Microsoft Forms that allows me to do this? If so, could you tell me how to go about it? To be clearer, I want to do the same thing but with Microsoft Forms and Microsoft Excel: https://antoine-moulard.com/webmarketing/comment-preremplir-champs-google-forms-google-sheets/ Thanks in advance for your help!20KViews0likes5CommentsCan I re-establish a connection between a Form and a linked Excel spreadsheet
We have an MS Form through O365 which is linked to an Excel sheet in Sharepoint. Each form entry has been automatically added to the next row of the Excel. It appears that some manual modifications within the Excel have caused the connection between the Excel and the Form to be broken. New entries are not auto-populating in the Excel. Can anyone provide a way to reconnect the form to the existing spreadsheet that has been receiving form submissions? I know I can link a new Excel, but we have years of data in the old one, and really want to re-establish the broken connection. Hi everyone, I'd like to verify answers entered in a form through external tables (in Excel, for instance). Here is the situation I run a competition and need to create two forms for the registration of - teams - members of each team (already registered) The field linking both tables is the "team's name" For the "Team's Members" form, I want to make sure the Team has already been created => I therefore need to test the "Team's name" entry : - if the entry exists in the "Teams" database (Excel file linked to the Form, I guess) => the user will be allowed to enter the data for a new member - if it doesn't exists, then the user will NOT be allowed to carry on (with a message indicating he has to create first a "Team" Any idea on how to do this ?
