Hi, So the situation is that a company has two branches, one local (to me) and the other overseas. Currently all the IT is based around a single Microsoft 365 Tenancy (with third party extensions for DMARC and email spam/phishing protection) administered from the overseas branch. This is reportedly leading to some issues, the two branches have different security requirements (the local branch can afford to be more open with regards to BYOD for example), having to go through the overseas admins for almost every change is inconvenient, and also importantly some data should be compartmentalized (notably there is local information that ideally should not be visible to anybody in the overseas department, including the admins). So having been asked to look into options, and being quite new to the inner workings of 365, after some investigation it seems prima facia that a solution might be to split the tenancy into two, moving the local office members into the new tenancy which would be controlled by a local admin, and then connecting the two possibly with a multi-tenant organization. Obviously everyone would need to keep the same email addresses. So, what I would like to check is 1) Is this possible? 2) Is this a sensible solution to the problem? 3) (Assuming the first answer is "yes" and the second at least a "maybe") any pointers to how to do it and any things to watch out for? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.42Views0likes3CommentsDMarc Issues
I am using Microsoft 365 Business emali (Exchange) online. I have created the following TXT record for _dmarc: v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; pct=100; rua=mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons; ruf=email address removed for privacy reasons I keep on receiving reports that there are failures with my Dmarc record. Any idea how to fix this? Hi Currently, I have a hybrid environment with AD on-premise, Azure AD sync (with password hash & SSPR), and Exchange Online. My goal is to force change the password at the next login from on-premise AD to MS online and vice versa. It's working. When I change the password on-premise AD, MS Online prompts me to change the password. It is not working when I set the account from the Admin center to force the password change at the next login; it does not sync to on-premise AD. The domain computer will not prompt to change password. Thanks in advance MS recommend to try this Install-Module -Name Microsoft.Graph Connect-MgGraph -Scopes "OnPremDirectorySynchronization.ReadWrite.All" Then run this command. $OnPremSync = Get-MgDirectoryOnPremiseSynchronization $OnPremSync.Features.UserForcePasswordChangeOnLogonEnabled = $true Update-MgDirectoryOnPremiseSynchronization -OnPremisesDirectorySynchronizationId $OnPremSync.Id -Features $OnPremSync.Features85Views0likes0CommentsDomain Status show Possible service issues with MX having Error but checked MX Record its the same
Hi, Just found out that Microsoft 365 Admin Centre > Domains show custom domain having Possible service issue status. When clicked into it, it shows MX status having error. Did a nslookup -type=MX "xxxx.com" and did a comparison with DNS MX Record, It shows exactly the same value as Microsoft 365. Not sure what is exactly the issue. We did not make any amendment to any settings.151Views0likes1Comment"We are preparing a mailbox for this user"
Hello, Is anyone else experiencing "We are preparing a mailbox for this user" for a newly created account in the admin center of office 365? We are experiencing this behavior for both in-cloud accounts and AD-sync accounts. We have been seeing this message for close to 24 hours for newly created accounts. We have tried deleting the account, removing from deleted users, re-adding the account, reassigning a license, creating a cloud account and assigning a license. All are giving the same message when a new mailbox is provisioned. We have a current trouble ticket opened with microsoft but haven't heard back. Any help is appreciated.46KViews0likes8CommentsCreating an Office 365 User no longer lets you send email with password to User
Is this a new update? Before, on this page, when I wanted to create an Office365 User account, I had the option at the bottom where I could input an email so the User would receive the password for his first login, but the option no longer appears...913Views0likes4Comments
