What does Yammer with users with an inactive email box?


I am serving a larger external network. We accept company email addresses only. If they are leaving their company, their email address will be deactivated by their company. But what happens with their Yammer account based on their deactivated email address? Will Yammer see deactivated email addresses and deactivate such users? I think in case of O365 users, this will happen. But what about non-O365 users?
