Is there any way to disable email notifications from communities you DON'T follow?

Recently found out that posts I've been making to one of my communities have been getting emailed to the entire organization thanks to those "Discover what's happening across the org" emails.

 

My understanding was that staff would NOT get email unless they opted-in to a community.  My expectation was that I could use one of my Yammer communities to post "silent" updates that staff would 

 

Is there anyway to disable the "Discover" email that doesn't involve asking literally every company to go into their user settings?  This article suggests that there isn't, but I'm hoping someone here has a better solution than asking everyone in the org to manually update their Yammer email preferences..

If you use the Mute a Community for Network, then that community won't show up in the discovery email except for those users who've joined.

If the community is Private it shouldn't be shown in the digest.
