Converting Internal group to External group

Is it possible to convert a private account to an external one in Yammer?

Is converting an internal yammer group to external still not feasible? And if so how do I advise a client to move yammer posts to a newly external group. The move feature does not look up to external groups once created.

I don't believe you can turn an existing group into an external group. But, you can create a new external group, use the "Share" link to get comments from an existing group into the new external group, and then archive the old group. 

It ain't easy, but it can work.
