** Update** The communities where I couldn't see the Community resources I was not a member of. Once I joined these communities (despite being public), I was able to see the Community resources. Also, despite being a Yammer network admin and SharePoint admin (I added our admin account to the site collection admin of these connected SharePoint sites since it isn't automatic), I assumed the Community resources would show for me. I now know the answer -- that's not the case unless I join the community.
I've come across various communities in my network that do not display the Community resources. I haven't been able to figure out why. I have seen instances when you create a new community, and the Community resources don't display. I have found that posting an image will remedy this by triggering the connection to SharePoint. I tried that with these communities and still can't get the Community resources block to display. I know folks typically ask for the reverse. How do you hide or remove it altogether, and the answer has been no, you can't, so, how is it that my group has somehow magically accomplished this?
The 'Create a live event' button is missing too.
Could this be something related to the Group or permissions on the SharePoint resources being altered because all these communities utilize their respective SharePoint sites?
In the image below, you can see the Pinned section and nothing beneath it when you should see Community resources and the Create Live Event button.
