Can we grant permission to a Yammer community using mail enabled distribution list

I have created 5 Yammer communities, and 5 office 365 mail enabled distribution lists. so can i grant the Yammer communities' user permissions using the Office 365 distribution list instead of manually adding the users to the Yammer communities ?

DL's can't be added as subgroups in the Microsoft 365 Groups system that backs the membership of Yammer communities.

There was some talk of somehow allowing security groups to be able to added to populate M365 Groups but that rollout was paused.

You could possibly do something via query in Azure AD to populate the group.
