Word problem: saving to PDF and inserting line numbers

Suddenly, I cannot save my Word to PDF files, nor insert line numbers. Everything else seems to work perfectly. 

I uninstalled and reinstalled the Office package twice. The problem remains.

Which version of Office are you running? Under which operating system?

Does the issue affect all Word documents, or just one particular document?
