Word is not retaining pictures

When I save a picture from a website or save a document in Word when I try to attach to an email it opens as a text box not a picture. I have tried all  I can find and nothing corrects it. I have been able in the past to retrieve the picture but recently it has had this issue.

@jhammer83702 Can you upload a copy of one of the documents with which you have the issue and also provide the URL of the website from which you copied the image and details of the image itself.
