Word Headers and Footers TOC problems.

So I have followed all of the instructions for adding H/F, have viewed several YouTube videos, have contacted MS customer support and am still not able to get my headers, and page numbers to work properly. Now my TOC has my page numbers all jumbled up.

Are you trying to restart page numbering, perhaps trying to create a front matter? The general idea is that you separate your front matter by inserting a section break and then you can restart the page numbering and/or define different page number formats for the sections. A little more work is required if you also want to change the content in the header or footer area. See http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/FrontMatterRibbon.htm.
