Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help with an issue we are having with letterhead templates we are creating.
We create the word templates on Word for Mac using version 16.8 we place a header and footer using a PDF, what seems to be happening a lot lately, is the customer is coming back and saying the headers and footers are blurry, when we open again on the mac they look fine to us, it doesn't happen on all the templates we send but seems to be getting more lately, the only way around this is to open the PDFs we use in the headers and footers and save them as PNG or JPG files then place them in the headers and footers, and this works ok, this never used to happen but it's getting a more an more common issue now.
Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

My advice would be to use either actual images (not pdf) or to set up the headers in Word as text (and images) rather than as another file.
The image in the pdf may be coming in at a lower resolution.
Note that you can save this as a Building Block stored in a separate Global Template and use an AutoText field in the header to bring it in. This allows later mass changes by simply changing the Building Block in the Global Template. (If you do this, also include an AutoNew macro in the letter template to update and then unlink the AutoText field when a new document is created.) Teach your clients how to install the Global Template.

Thanks for your reply, but setting up as text and images is not viable as these are letterheads that come off of a template system, they have always worked before as placed PDFs, but over the last few months we have had complaints that it looks blurry, but in the Mac side it looks ok.
thanks
