Word formulas / macros

Copper Contributor

Hello everyone

I'm looking for some help with Word formulas and/or macros.

I've created the following table:

A - under column A I created a drop down list, the user can select a number from 1 to 5

B - the same as A

C - under column C I created a formula that multiplies numbers from column A and B

(example: if A=3 and B=5 then C shows 15)

Question 1: is it possible for column C to update automatically or do I need to "update file" every time I amend the number under column A or B?

Now, what I'm trying to do is for column C to change colour depending on the multiplication result

(1-5 green, 6-12 yellow, 15-25 red).

I don't think it is possible to do it via formulas? I believe Word enables to use only 1 formula at a time. I came across something called Macros in Word. Does anyone know how to use them? Is it possible to achieve what I'm trying to achieve?

I know it can be easily done in excel, but I really need it in Word.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Martyna
