My colleague has been working on a document that somehow starting placing blocks of text into anchored frames. This has moved whole chunks of text onto new pages and caused a bit of a nightmare. This screenshot shows the type of box that's been created:

In a previous version of the document, everything was fine, so I know it's not an inbuilt issue with the styles.

I have managed to fix the problem by right-clicking on the anchor, selecting 'Format Frame' and then clicking 'Remove Frame'. However, I am baffled as to how this problem has arisen in the first place, and would like to avoid it in future.

I would be very grateful for any advice/ideas as to why this is happening.

In Word, it is possible for a paragraph style to include frame formatting. To get rid of this formatting, use the Modify Style dialog box. In the dialog box, click the Format drop down and then click Frame. Click Remove Frame. Confirm the new settings with OK.
