Tracking and accepting changes

Copper Contributor

When I make a change, I get a change bar. When I accept it, the change bar goes away but then it comes back. I need clean copy without change bars. The only way I can get rid of the change bars it to Accept All Changes. What is happening?

To permanently get rid of all tracked changes, you have to either accept or reject all changes and then turn off the tracking.

@Stefan_Blom Hmm. Didn't use to be that way as far as I remember. Thanks for the reply.

If it has changed, it isn't a recent change. For example, in Word 2010, the behavior was the same. See https://shaunakelly.com/word/sharing/howtrackchangesworks.html.
