Incoming Word docs always locked.

When I receive incoming WORD docs they are always locked. I have to go into properties and check the unlock box. I cannot find the switch to turn it off.

Once I get the error message that Word could not open the file, Word will not open again until I restart my computer.

Suggestions are truly appreciated.

Go to FIle>Options>Trust Center>Trust Center Settings>Protected View and uncheck the relevant box(es)
