Whats the name of this phenomenon and why does it happen on word 2022?

I've inserted an image to a document, i even didn't resize it. just saved the docx file, and few seconds after it get distorted.

Thin lines are disappeared thus the drawing is been distorted.

Can you upload a copy of the document and a copy of the image file so we can investigate the issue.

Hello @danielma_te ,

there can be many reasons unrelated to Word for Word to behave like this.

What matters is - does it show in Print preview correctly or not?

Does it print correctly or not?

Just remember, pictures take a lot of memory and if they are high resolution, unnecessarily high resolution for purposes needed, try to compact them.

Hope this helps.

I've noticed that if i save the file on DOC format. this issue doesn't occur. but the the file size is huge and and it stucks on scroll

The issue occurs only on docx format.

Here are both files and the JPG itself:

@danielma_te I do see the issue with a docx file.  However, I use Snagit from www.techsmith.com to make a screen capture of the image before it degrades, and I insert that, it does not degrade.  I have attached a copy of the Snagit screen capture.
