I have tried at least six different tactics to add page numbers to my book starting at page 3. None have worked. I have Word 2019. Please, if you have a straightforward and simple process to give me results, it would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
You need a section break at the end of page 2 and then you can unlink headers/footers in the new section. That will let you leave headers/footers blank in the first section. For more, see http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/FrontMatterRibbon.htm.
