Create shortcut/button that edits text at the same time

Copper Contributor

Hello!

Is it possible to create a shortcut/command in the quick access toolbar that does command "text highlight color" and "Underline (CTRL+U)" at the same time for selected words? Instead of having to use one command at a time? This would save me and my colleagues time.

I work with documents for constrution of building services where we have the following system: text that has been added since last released version is shown with underline and grey highlighted color. Text to be removed is shown with striketrough and grey highlighted color

Hi, I'd create a style and apply the style from within the ribbon. Kind regards Hans

I agree. Use a style, a character style. You can assign it to a keyboard shortcut if you wish.

You might also consider using Track Changes and modifying how they are displayed.

@hansleroy  thanks for the help!
