Change default blank 'new' word document template across the business - not for single user accounts

Brass Contributor

We are trying to replace the default 'blank' word document that is opened when any user creates a new document.

Within this document, we need to overwrite completely the standard microsoft-supplied set of styles in this new default document to reflect our own set of styles.

This needs to be done for our entire organisation, so that all users access this default 'new' file - not on a user by user basis.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I would suggest that you create a new template that contains your required styles and distribute that to each user with instructions to create new documents from that template when the need to create a document with those styles.
The default, Normal.dotm template should NOT be used for such purposes as it is "personal" to each user.
