Okay, I had page number problems that I finally got resolved today (click on Header Section 2 box and unchecked "Link to Previous") after 5 plus hours of tech help. Now I have problems with the title and author alternating on the header. Now, we had to turn off "Different Odd and Even Pages" for the pages to work (if I turn on the Different Odd and Even Pages, it removes the alternating page numbers instead of having them continuous). If I edit one header, it changes all of the headers to the same and not alternating title on one page and author on the other header. Argh. So, how do I rectify the alternating headers without messing up the page numbers??
When I turn on "Different Odd and Even Pages," it fixes the headers. Unfortunately, it messes up the page numbers. I tried manually changing the even page numbers, but it flipped numbers around (e.g. 6 to 8, 8 to 6 etc.).
@alisaa590 What do you mean by "messes up the page numbers"? Unless you want some special type of numbering, you should simply have a page number field in each of the Odd and Even Footers.
The numbers are no longer continuous. Instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, 8, it turns into 1,2,5,5,8,7,6 etc. Totally weird. Last night, I found a template so I will probably just use that instead.
Okay, I might have to do another post. It doesn't look like the index works with the imported template from Amazon. I might have to do another post or contact Amazon. UGH.
