Registry Search Key missing in WVD Multi Session

Copper Contributor

I have two WVD deployed which are using Windows 10 Mulitsession with Office pro plus.

Am trying to hide the search box on the start menu using Group Policy. I know there is a registry key for this but initally my GPO was not working.

Then upon investigation it would seem the Search folder does not have any of the default settings present

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search subfolders are not present in registry!!

See attached screenshot multi session compared to a single session which has all the keys

Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas of how I get it back.

Also are others removing this option from their enviornments. The only reason we are trying to remove it is becuase users may try and launch other programs which we are  trying to hide.
