What will the windows update process consist of for unsupported old Win10 builds?

For example, will a PC that has been factory restored to Win 10 1507 be eligible to fully update to the current Win10 build in 7+ years? Do you foresee Windows Update automatically bringing it up-to-date or will this consist of a manual process?
