SCCM 18 Month Support

Copper Contributor

I noticed in the announcement about aligning feature release schedules that System Center Configuration Manager was also a part of it.  Does this mean that SCCM will move from a 12 month support schedule to an 18 month release-support product?

Configuration Manager releases will remain roughly every four months with a monthly technical preview. You can find more details about Configuration Manager availability and support dates here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/servers/manage/updates

Yes, the ConfigMgr team does intend to extend their support lifecycle for each ConfigMgr current branch release, to better align with the Windows 10 and Office 365 ProPlus servicing timelines.
Thank you, this is great news!

Any news about that topic? I still read 12 month support for ConfigMgr https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/servers/manage/updates.
