I noticed it is not possible to do an in-place upgrade from Windows Server 2016 Core to Windows Server Insider Preview 16257 Core.  Will this change in a future preview or for the final release?

Upgrade from Windows Server 2016 Core to preview builds such as 16257 is not supported. Please see these blog announcements for more information: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/hybridcloud/2017/06/15/delivering-continuous-innovation-with-win... and https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/get-started/semi-annual-channel-overview
The announcements don't say anything specific about in-place upgrades. If it's not available in the preview builds, will it be available at the final release?
