Changing Operating System Azure VM

Copper Contributor

Good morning,

I have a VM on Azure running Windows Server 2019. I then downloaded the ISO for the most recent Windows Insider program version of Windows Server.

I ran it, and after a while of installing it asked to restart the machine. No problem.

However, now it is seemingly not responding and I don't have any idea as to how to move forward. Remote desktop does not work, from my computer I receive the standard "can't connect" popup. From the Azure portal, it says that the machine is running, but if I try to run a command from the Azure page, it lets me, but nothing happens. No output.

I'm not sure how to move forward here.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks

@dylanbaird  have you tried: from the azure portal, on the VM, operations => run command

Run a command like verify: RDPSettings
