I have a Windows Server 2019 installed with the GUI and the Windows Admin Center. I have ten other Windows Server 2019 machines set up with Windows Server Core. A couple of them will be File Servers.
Now, my particular question is, how can I quickly manage file and folder permissions?
I know how to use Icacls.exe and net share or even Set-ACL in PowerShell, but there's nothing like using the GUI--right click the folder, go to Sharing or Security tab, etc. etc.
Is there a way to do this using the Windows Admin Center remotely? I cannot find any file manipulation tools in WAC. Storage yes, but not file permissions.
Does anyone know how, beyond the tools I've mentioned, how to do so?
Regards
Dave
