I've found strange behavior while deploying base images using WDS where the client computer auto-joins to the domain if we use "<DOMAIN>\<USERNAME>" during the initial setup authentication after PXE booting to WDS
If we use "username@domain.com" to authenticate, the computer does NOT auto join to the domain (Which is what we expect.)
This seems like a bug.
If it is a bug, how do we get Microsoft to acknowledge and fix it?
If it's not a bug, what is the logic behind this behavior?
We have a new basic WDS deployment on Windows Server 2019 Standard with base install and boot images from Windows 10 Pro 1909 (Nothing is customized.)
We have NOT configured WDS to allow the image to install in unattended mode or configured any unattend files.
