We have purchased 3 win server licenses 2016 standard to cover 16 cores, when it comes to the activation we found that one of the virtual machines is running windows server 2016 datacenter and we are not able to activate it. Is there any workaround we can do here because the VM is having the services installed and running and it is difficult to migrate to another VM with standard edition and it does not make sense to purchase again a datacenter license to just activate a single VM while i only need a standard edition. I appreciate your support if anyone encountered a similar issue before.
