Using Windows Update for latest builds of Windows for lightweight version of server core

Thank you for doing this AmA.
I am using the lightweight version of server core for hyper-v: Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2016. Will it be possible for me to use Windows Update to get the latest builds of Windows on this edition?

Hi Lucas, Hyper-V Server is not part of the Semi-annual channel release cycle so you would not be able to get the new features. Only Server Core (as the installation option) and Nano Server (as a Container image) are available on the Semi-annual Channel release cycle. Thanks for asking this question!
