User and device cal

Hello everyone. I am new to the windows server scene.

I bought a server with ms server 2022 std and a couple of user and device cals.

The server will act as a domain controller and print server.

Where do i add the local user and device cals? I only found where to add  Remote cals which im not using.

You have to have proof that you bought the licenses. You don't install/add them as you would with a license server. Or are they Remote Desktop user/device call?

No its not remote desktop cals.

I thought you had to assign them somewhere to claim the ownership of the license for the users and devices. I mean just having the license papers laying around doesnt really seem like the usual way one would go about licenses.

Yes, that's how the work. Paper agreement / proof and there for audits... Please mark my answer as solution to mark it as solved
