I am having problem p2v a physical dfs server E drive.
So I wonder if I can robocopy the E drive (DFS Shares) to the new server
The problem is I need to keep the new server the same name as the old.
Can I do this?
1. Temporily rename the new destination server to server1
2. have them both on the domain
3. robocopy the E drive from source to destination
4. shutdown the old server
5. rename the new server to the old server
will this work?
