Remote Desktop Services Dictating Default Resolution

Copper Contributor

Struggling to find an answer for this.

I would like when a user launches a remote desktop from web access, for that session to open in a static resolution, and they could choose to go full screen if they want.

It appears that when you launch a session it wants to use the total resolution of the client machine.  For a Windows 10 machine with three monitors, this stretches it out (in my case 5760 x 1090), and makes working in windowed mode nearly impossible.

Thought the Windows store app Remote Desktop would help with this, but that is the reverse, it won't go across multiple monitors.

My setup is both the broker server and the gateway/web server are Server 2019, the RD session host servers are Server 2012 R2 servers.  Clients used are Windows 10 1903 and 1809.

Any help would be appreciated

Did you ever get an answer to your question?

I am using remote desktop services for Dynamics GP and when it opens on the user's desktop the resolution is causing issues.  Looking for a way to control the resolution as well.
