Hi,
I have a client who has a Business Application running on a Server (Windows Server 2019). The previous IT pro who set up this machine didn't implement this server has a DC.
He has another server on the network which hosts his DC (Windows Server 2008). We would like to replace this 2008 server with a new 2019 Server and have both Windows 20019 Server turned on as DC.
We need to provide 100 User CAL for Windows 20019 server, but the client already has 80 RDS User CAL for his Business Application Server.
My question: do we need to provide 100 User CAL or only 20 (Difference between needed User CAL and RSD User CAL)?
