RDP keyboard not working

We have a virtual Windows Server 2012 R2 with Remotedesktop enabled. When we access the Server over rdp the mouse is fully working but I cannot type any key, if I access the Server over the Hyper-V console the keyboard is working fine.

in my case, citrix profile was stuck in citrix VDI, after killing all the citirix sessions and restarting the VM fixed the issue.

i was able to login again and type the content required.
