Local Web Server - Public DNS

Steel Contributor

I have my local web server wynneapps1.corp.wynnetr.com that has an internal IP of 10.0.0.3. I want to make that public. I already have my firewall setup to allow access publicly by using the public IP address 63.147.xxx.xx and I can access that fine. How do I get wynneapps1.corp.wynnetr.com to resolve publicly so I can use that instead of the ip address in my browser, etc. Thank you.

You'll need to register the domain name with one of the public domain registrars. Then you'll also need a hosting provider to point the new domain name to your public ip address. Most registrars can do both.
