We have 3 servers that were discarded a year ago. I have the 3 physical servers but the disks were tossed in a box without identification.
And yes, we need to restore a file on one of the servers. Is it possible to identify which disk was part of which raid? There was a raid 0 for the OS and a raid 5 for the data disks.
All I have for now is a box with 40 disks unidentified...
I'm thinking if there is a RAID ID that I could find plugging the disks one at a time?
Backups of the server are expired. My only solution left is to restart the server with the right HDDs!
Ps: the servers were running 2008 R2
