I need help to use two servers

Hello, the scenario is as follows, I have two servers, the first has windows server 2008 R2, two 500 GB hard drives, this server is used for AD and file server functions. I have another server that has Windows server 2022, two 1TB hard drives. So what I want to do is that the server that has Windows server 2008 R2 inherits or gives the roles and users from AD to the server that has Windows server 2022. I would like to add that I would like the server that has Windows server 2008 R2 to be only as a file server of the server that has Windows 2022, how can I do? Thank you very much for reading.

Simplest solution may be to install the hyper-v role (as only role) on host, patch fully, add the hyper-v role, stand up a new virtual machine, patch fully, add active directory domain DNS services to this instance, add some users. Then join other virtual and or physical machines to domain, then assign user permissions as needed.
