I am a newbee and will like learn what is to look for the following task objective.

I have a physical server Windows  2012 and a virtual server WS 2016.I will like to have the server make copies or backup or a particular folder located in the physical W2012 server to the VPS 2016 server. Is there way to do this automatically on a daily basis?

I have come across the term fail over, but not sure if this is related to backup.
