Now what I want is to go from Freenas to Windows 2019 without losing my data.
So I have a 12 bay nas running on freenas on a ssd.
At the moment I have 6x6 tb hdd unused.
Used 6x8 tb running ZVOL RAID-Z2 (or z3 not sure)
The problem is dat windows server doesnt reconize z2
I can format the 6x6 tb to NTFS or whatever.
I havent installed windows server yet.
Backup online is to expensive (about 1000 euro)
Any tips tricks recommondations?
I can probly put all the data in a stripe on the 6x6 (no redundancy for a little while)
